Jen Schneider has taught college-level writing at more than ten
colleges and universities, including the Colorado School of Mines, where
she coordinates the first-year writing program and teaches writing,
film, and ethics courses, and Scripps College, where she taught creative
writing and composition.
Jen has also worked as a script consultant and scriptwriter for
documentary films, edited and written book reviews and articles for
academic journals, presented at many professional conferences, and
served as an editor and writing coach for professional writers. Jen
received her PhD in Cultural Studies in February 2004, and is currently
working on a fantastical novel entitled All That is Solid and a book of
poetry called Motherskin. An edited anthology of angst-ridden teenage
musings entitled If You Read This I’ll Kill You: Breaking into Our
Teenage Diaries is also in the works
